Meetings Diary

Meetings are normally held on the first and third WEDNESDAY of the Month in the Lecture Theatre at the Science and Learning Centre inside Marwell and start promptly at 7.30pm unless explicitly stated otherwise. Gates are open for entry to normal meetings between 7.00pm and 7.25pm, latest entry at 7.25pm. Parking is available in the Car Park next to the Science and Learning Centre. On our competition nights especially, an early arrival is recommended to have time to submit entries.

It is ESSENTIAL to arrive at the gates between 7.00pm and 7.25pm because late entry is not possible as the gates are locked 5 minutes before the meetings start.

Members may expect to be asked to show their membership cards to gain access to meetings, prospective members must contact the Chairman, Secretary or Membership Secretary before attending to obtain details.

Wednesday 1st February Presentation - Macro Photography A talk by Bob Brind-Surch Bob explores the options available to photographers who wish to experiment with macro as well as showing some of his own images. Most of his images will be from the natural world, however, the techniques carry over to any subject matter. Wednesday 21st November Presentation - Touching the light A talk by Ken Scott who grew up in the mountains and who's work is more concerned with light and atmosphere than with place, very much in the present moments. In this widely acclaimed presentation Ken explores the approaches, techniques and personal philosophy behind his mountain landscape work, and reveals how it is a very different game to that portrayed in the text books.
